I wholeheartedly support this amazing movement- I wish I could have been in Pershing Sq in Los Angeles today to raise a sign and add to the headcount of people embracing this cause. But I couldn’t, so I donated to @marchforourlives and will use my social platform to spread my support and love. Kids are paving the way for their own future and the futures of other children who are too young to understand what is happening. Thank you. As a mother, as a civilian and as an American citizen who’s children are entering school age, I thank you. Perhaps now they will listen and if they don’t, we will speak louder. Its about compromise, not taking away rights. Have your hand guns, etc, but keep the semi automatic weapons with (automatic capabilities) solely in the hands of law enforcement and the military.
However, this isn’t only about #guncontrol. It’s about #mentalhealth and having the resources to identify it and find treatment, its about #bullying and treating people who are different from you with a little kindness & its also about giving equal attention to murder victims regardless of #race and #culture .
To the warriors of peace I salute you.
