Meet the king of the crossword puzzle, Erik Agard. He’s an activist in his daily life. But over the weekend, Erik took the crown at the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, @xworddeb reports. Each spring for the past 40 years, people who love having their brains twisted have gathered to celebrate the joy of playing with words. This year Will Shortz, the @ニューヨーク・タイムズ crossword editor, welcomed more than 670 contestants to the event, in Stamford, Connecticut. By Sunday, just 2 remained.
