At Underground, for us nothing is better than seeing established heroes meet the heroes of the future. No better example of this than on Thursday night at our first Underground Culture Club event, and especially the moment @wholovesthisgeneration met the legendary @thurstonmoore58 in the Underground Store. ⠀
The party that gathered to celebrate the arrival of ‘Punk is Dead: Modernity Killed Every Night’ all had a common interest to learn, share and inspire. We are eager to see what they take and do with the experience. You can swipe through to see some more photos of the guests who made it down to the event.⠀
The Subcultures that inspire us are part of our brand story, and you can find the traces of their alienation, their anger and attitude in our DNA. They inform us, and no doubt we draw on that energy and that spirit. In order to face forward into the future, we must understand and embrace what has happened before. ⠀
Yet it is never about looking back. Too much time spent reflecting on what was leaves you in a vulnerable position to miss what is and will be. Take the energy, take those intentions and apply them now. Nothing is ever finished; it just mutates, morphs and evolves into something else- something now. There is no sense in reflecting. You will find sense and success in evolving, eyes fixed straight ahead. ⠀
