We asked @greenpeace captain Peter Willcox – who has been at the forefront of environmental battles for 37 years – about life at sea, threats to the ocean, and the newest iteration of the Rainbow Warrior. “When I started off in Greenpeace in 1981, there were about 200 people worldwide. Now there are over 3,000 and we’re in 55 different countries,” he says. “Sometimes it was more fun being a small, little niche environmental group, but we decided back in the 80s that we wanted to get bigger, more disciplined, more organised, more focused, or we wouldn’t amount to very much. So we did”⠀
