#LiveLikeARockefeller: In 1957, David Rockefeller purchased this Venetian view by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot from a New York gallery. The work remained above the fireplace at his Hudson Pines home for the rest of his life.

‘This painting probably conjured memories for David of his trips to Venice, which he visited with friends in 1938 after finishing his postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics,’ explains Bianca Arrivabene, our Deputy Chairman of Christie’s in Italy.
