It IS possible to enjoy and culture and art created by Black folks while simultaneously NOT being committed to making sure that #BlackLivesMatter .
Appreciating the cultural contributions of Black people is not the same as a commitment to anti-racism work. It is not a replacement for self-education, thinking critically about how we benefit from privilege, interrupting racism in ourselves and other white people, and working alongside POC with a commitment to personal and cultural transformation.(Image repost from @moustachemannyc )
