A little #bluesday inspiration from #bkmeuropeanart: Eugène Louis Boudin began painting scenes of France’s Normandy coast in the early 1860s. He often gravitated towards ports like Trouville that were also fashionable resort destinations for increasing numbers of well-dressed tourists. Boudin was the son of a harbor pilot and had spent time at sea himself as a young man. His practice of making studies on-site and his interest in capturing effects of light and atmosphere established him as an important forerunner of Impressionism. #infinitebluebkm ?⠀
