During the making of Frozen, the tech team designed a snow simulation renderer called Matterhorn, which would allow snow to be artistically groomed into whatever shape or setup the artists required. Tests like this were created to make sure that the snow was responding in realistic and believable ways. The cannon ball represents a solid object colliding at a high speed with a snow structure creating the desired realistic result. #TechTuesday
