?? L’exposition « Une lutte moderne, de Delacroix à nos jours » ouvre aujourd'hui au @museedelacroix !

Première exposition dédiée aux peintures du maître à la Chapelle des Saints-Anges à Saint Sulpice, cette exposition portée par les recherches réalisées lors de leur récente restauration conduite par la Ville de Paris, aborde plus largement le thème de la lutte. 
Grâce à des prêts exceptionnels des musées français et étrangers, les inspirations de Delacroix - Raphaël, Titien, Rubens… - côtoient plusieurs des créations que l’œuvre du maître a inspirées aux artistes du XIXème et du XXème siècle, tels que Gustave Moreau, Odilon Redon, Marc Chagall et bien d'autres.

? The exhibition “Grappling with the Modern: From Delacroix to the Present Day” is opening today at the @museedelacroix!

First exhibition dedicated to the paintings of the artist at Saint-Sulpice, this exhibition- boosted by recent research undertaken on the murals during conservation work by the City of Paris-approaches the theme of struggle.
Thanks to exceptional loans from French and foreign museums, the exhibition will bring together works by artists who inspired Delacroix (such as Raphael, Titian, Rubens…) and the works by 19th- and 20th-century artists including Gustave Moreau, Odilon Redon, Marc Chagall…, who drew inspiration from Delacroix’s art in their own struggles for modernity.
