Various forms of violence continue to permeate daily life across the country, particularly affecting women and children. Some two-thirds of children in Syria are said to have lost a loved one, had their house damaged, or suffered conflict-related injuries. Children who have endured such experiences and have been exposed to significant violence are deprived of a sense of security and susceptible to profound mental distress. - Corpses and human remains were spotted on nearby streets.
