Today I drove by my favorite building of window displays, the Empty Set Projects galley in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This corner storefront is always curated with window art by Artists Monika Pizzichemi and her husband and artist partner, Michael McKay, with “Big Sale!” pieces they create in the style of old grocery store advertising posters. Always provocative, sometimes political, I had to pull over to photograph the south side window displays related to a heavy debate taking place in America. This months fake advertising specials range from AK-47 assault rifles to 100-round magazines, while Common Sense was sold out...
