I can only imagine how hard it must be to set for worldcups and I admire the setters' performance. But this weekend quite some things went wrong and I think it's important to point them out.

So here is my opinion: of course things can go wrong and boulders can't work out as planned, but the setting in Meiringen just had quite some problems.

It shouldn't happen that athletes topping 5 out of 5 boulders don't make semis (male qualifiers group A), that a boulder doesn't see a single top (female qualifiers group A) or that a jump or trick can be shortcut (male finals #2 and female finals #2).

Also there was a downwards jump (male finals #3), which is against the rules, but was tolerated because it wasn't planned like that. But what if this is the easiest solution for some athletes and the setters simply didn't think of it? In my opinion it was pretty obvious that it was possible to jump down to the volume, especially because it was marked as the zone, and should not have been set like this as it is too dangerous.
