"Taryn Simon: An Occupation of Loss" opens tonight, April 17. The second iteration of her critically acclaimed performance takes place in an astonishing underground location near Islington Green, London.
In a performance lasting approximately one hour, professional mourners—from countries including Ghana, Greece, Cambodia, and Azerbaijan—simultaneously broadcast their lamentations in a sonic and visual cacophony of grief.
