Ryan was 19 and I’d never heard of him but I liked him immediately and was so impressed with how effortlessly he shouldered the film and set the bar high every day playing a Jewish skinhead. It seemed to me he had a pretty good shot at a career. #TheBeliever would go on to win the Grand Jury prize at #Sundance.
