#oldheadshotday Since I was late to the acting professionally game, my first headshot was a picture from one of my modeling shoots in Italy. The photographer was Luca Peyrol & his wife was my makeup artist. They only spoke Italian & I couldn’t understand anything they said to me or what caused them to get in to a massive fight during our shoot. His wife got so angry she left the shoot, but not before they went upstairs to argue & left me downstairs in their loft while they fought with each other for an hour. I was 22 years old, very insecure and absolutely believed I had done something wrong. But couples fight and looking back I’m sure I had nothing to do with it. It left me with a haunted and frightened look in my eyes for all these pics. The pics from this shoot are still some of my favorites. In a time where headshots were only black & white, I wanted to use color to stand out. Also I couldn’t afford new headshots when I first moved to LA so I had to use something old. Glad I did though because this headshot landed me my first managers, to whom I am eternally grateful for the years they spent with me in the beginning when I knew absolutely nothing about this business & made many ignorant mistakes. So thank you Julia Verdin & Bill Kravitz for taking a chance with me and Luca Peyrol & his wife for the shots.
