Blurry smiles for @ジャネル・モネイ last night 🌹 #DirtyComputer is a viscerally beautiful work, that truly celebrates and centers queerness in whatever form that takes for you. I have always thought of queerness as relating less to a structured and strict identification relating to one’s sexuality than a limitless, genre crossing identity that informs the utopian possibilities of your view of the world. I believe queerness to be it’s own uncontainable, undefinable language and @ジャネル・モネイ’s work exemplifies that. Hanging with Janelle and @tessamaethompson sometime last year, her vaguely describing with mystery what she was working on, Tessa reinforcing how beautiful it would be, I had no idea their world and friendships would merge together to make something as stunning as it is! @amandlastenberg and I grew up together as Yung Queer Bbs trying to figure this shit out, how surreal it was to sit there together last night, watching @ジャネル・モネイ’s queer future unfold. 👑
