アラブ首長国連邦は5年ぶりの訪問です。これまでの友好関係の上に、今般、我が国の海上油田権益が40年間更新されました。今後、エネルギーのみならず、あらゆる分野で、両国の経済関係を深化させていきたいと考えています。

I am visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the first time in five years. Through this visit, Japanese concessions on UAE offshore oil fields were renewed for 40 years, which was possible thanks to the friendly relations we have enjoyed over the years. In the future, I intend to deepen economic relations between our countries across a full range of fields, extending beyond the energy sector.
