“India is home to almost 70% of the wild tigers in the world. ? However, the country loses about a 100 tigers each year to various causes. Poaching being the primary cause of unnatural deaths, followed by road kills and electrocution by farmers to protect their fields. So far in 2018, India has witnessed about 42 tiger mortalities, or one wild tiger death every 3 days.
