If you want my opinion.....
Education. You have to educate a whole generation. It's the only way to achieve the society and a civilisation we deserve.
I don't just mean paying parents to be able to stay at home and help educate and be with their children,
I mean a cultural education. Like a military service or a draft but not to teach how to kill but to show teenagers and children the world and all it's cultures . To ultimately show we are all the same and are one people. To show what amazing cultures exist .
National barriers are fake constructs , that divide people . We have to see ourselves as one people . The internet has bought us so much closer than ever in our history as a species.
Get all the kids from the poor areas of ( for example) Chicago, whose only way up is through gangs and take them all in a tour of the world . Take them to see Paris , Athens , Moscow, Beijing , Tokyo, Cairo , Seoul , Sydney , Cape Town , Rio , Mexico and New York .
Show them that the world is populated with amazing people and then they will start to have a desire to be part of it .
Then you start to have an educated society. Gang mentality no longer makes sense once they see there is a world beyond.
You may think this is impossible dreaming but we did it in times of war but for totally different agendas .
We are facing war on the streets now .
There has to be a solution and in my opinion it can only be through education.
That should be our new goal . The education of every single person . Start with the poor but bring in every social strata including the wealthy .
Educate the people .
Only then will we have a civilisation we can be proud of and one we deserve.
We all deserve a thousand times better than what is being offered now .
Educate everyone.
It can be done .
