What a great way to activate @usowomen #usow2018 a panel and reception for women’s ECO leadership organizers by @loraoconnor and @womensearthalliance . Thanks @tilanej from @arraynow and @drshelleyluce of @healthebay for joining me where I met fantastic and inspiring ladies like this young warrior @nallelicobo who is using her voice to fight against oil drilling in neighborhoods @stand_losangeles and @sarapaul of @5carrotsbranding for safe abundant food sources ans @sagaelmotaseb who catered our delicious vegetarian meal! I had seen our #senatorkamalaharris earlier in the day and told her I was speak at the breakout group for the summit and her message to me about the how much more effectively change can occur with the inside/out approach was made very clear by the way these women work from inside their communities reaching out to change things. The old model of pushing ideas from outside is not only old but not effective . The women there last are working from inside their communities to improve their lives. The women in any community know what they need and giving us the agency to move on that knowledge and passion is the key to our future. So much celebrate about the #stateofwomen !
