Step inside Lee B. Lok’s store, Quong Yuen Shing & Co., located on Mott Street in New York’s Chinatown. The general store sold medicinal herbs, silks, and other goods and served as a social center for the Chinese community. In this photograph, Mr. Lee stands behind the counter, selling and buying World War I liberty bonds.
