British Columbia, Canada just banned this feline paw mutilation! "There is a consensus among the public and within our profession that declawing cats is an inhumane treatment and ethically unacceptable," the CEO of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia said today. ❤️
European vets and their professional organizations say that declawing is unethical and mutilating and it's banned in 42 countries. ❤️
The American veterinary associations work hard and spend lots and lots of money on lobbyists to stop our anti-declawing bills so their unethical declawing vets can keep making $ from this cat cruelty! #greed ???
Enough is enough! The American declawing vets need to stop selling their souls to this inhumane procedure, start honoring their oath to EASE the suffering in animals, and stop declawing cats and help us end this dark and evil chapter in the American vet profession!
Please give a big thanks to Dr. Margie Scherk, @pawproject -British Columbia Director and all the other ethical Canadian vets who know that the time is NOW to end this inhumane and unnecessary toe amputation procedure! ??
