Highly recommended by the Flaunt staff member who couldn't resist laying down to make a 'Cheeto angel'--earning her a light scolding and a bit of a rash. (Please don't try this when you visit!) SAW RED raises awareness about the food desert crisis in South Central LA. Urrea creates an immersive and near hallucinatory installation with the use of food additive FD&C Red Dye #40, drawing attention to the lack of healthy food alternatives in low-income neighborhoods.
SAW RED ends May 12th. Open Thursday- Saturday, 1-6pm
