From the very start, Prabal knew he wanted to see our Deepika Padukone in a strong shade of red at the 2018 Met Gala. Not only is it a hue that is always so incredibly radiant on Deepika, but it is also one of Prabal’s favourite and signature colours. We worked quite closely with Deepika and her stylist Shaleena for many months to collaborate on the entire look. This sketch was only the start, and was followed by a number of fittings together in our Atelier.
