When it rains it pours and epiphanies come like storms, so here’s what I am calling into this next decade. I will laugh harder, I will be still longer. I will remember my secret gift, we all have them, but we often forget when it gets too loud. I will honor my body and all it has been through, and I will celebrate my strength. I will remember what it feels like to speak with a fearless tongue. I will take in every minute of breastfeeding because time goes by too fast and I’ll miss it more than anything. I will put down my phone, and pick up my camera. I will boldly respect my intuition to let go in areas that are not healthy, and to grow gardens where soil is rich with truth. And lastly here’s my promise to myself. I am going to listen. The universe had to get really loud in order for me to hear her message, but now I’m with you. I am listening. I am present. Talk to me. There is only now. Ps I woke up this morning and found myself nursing my baby while plucking grey hairs out of my head...at the same time. True story. Damn 30, you are so good, and so real.
