The creation of British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock would have been out and about in his famous deerstalker and Inverness cape rushing out of his front door to catch a passing hansom cab to track down a Hidden London secret or two. How fitting that his abode was in the very same place one of our Hidden London collection is inspired by.The Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221B Baker Street leads you to believe that Sherlock Holmes was a living breathing person. Stories about our most famous detective are still as compelling today as they were when they were first written in 1859. The Museum is a time capsule to late Victorian life and does a fantastic job of portraying Holmes' middle class lifestyle under the watchful eye of Mrs. Hudson, his long-suffering housekeeper. We would highly recommend a visit. It's very Penhaligon's #HiddenLondon
