"Thank you to Central Brooklyn Independent Democrats for inviting me to speak. Eight years ago, I voted for Andrew Cuomo because I believed he was a real Democrat. But since taking office, Governor Cuomo has shown us his true colors. Over the course of his two terms, we could have gotten big money out of politics and made New York a real sanctuary state to protect immigrants. We could have fixed our subways, passed single-payer health care, strengthened our rent laws, enacted real criminal justice reform, and become a leader in renewable energy jobs.
