To our followers in Italy—the homage exhibition “1948 Biennale of Peggy Guggenheim” opens today at @guggenheim_venice. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the landmark exhibition of Peggy Guggenheim’s collection in the Greek Pavilion at the 24th Venice Biennale. To commemorate this milestone event in the history of 20th-century art, the setting of the pavilion will be partially recreated in their Project Rooms through documents, photographs, letters, and for the first time a three-dimensional model of the pavilion installation.
