The “Hulme “ denim jacket wraps up Underground sub culture with some special prints and embellishments
This version uses an original punk zine print as a back panel. The design is taken from the zine “Guilty of What “ the creation of @chrislow who founded the punk zine in 1981 .
We are lucky enough to have one of the original zines from Chris and this is authentic as it gets. We ran a window display at our London store in 2016 that featured some of the original punk zines and were lucky enough to have many of the original zine founders, contributors or featured bands come by the store. The zine story also linked in to our project to create a zine for Grime that was inspired by those original Punk Zine. “Into the Dirt “ imagined a zine dedicated to Grime in the style of those punk zines. Originally intended as one issue it ended up as 8 issues- all released at the same time and never ever reprinted.
The force of the zine is strong right now- old school yes, but a timely resurgence as digital takes a bit of a legal wobble.
