A highlight of our Important Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art auction in Hong Kong, this elegant vase was known as the ‘Double Happiness Jewel Vase’ in the Qianlong Emperor’s court records.

It is also the only known Qianlong-period example of this exceptionally large size.

A fine and very rare blue and white double-gourd vase. Qianlong six-character seal mark in underglaze blue and of the period (1736–95). Estimate on request.
