We dewormed the Colombian Babies today, so we had to separate them from their Mom for around 30 minutes. The four were super scared but we had to do it. One has to be super strict when one’s taking care of other beings. Obviously, no one was hurt or anything, but they’ve never been separated and that put them in a scared state. The Momma kept trying to come out of their night room but obviously couldn’t. Even though she didn’t need a reminder, situations like this one make us value what we have. All we did was inject them. Imagine what Lion Prides go through when the obscurity of the day settles in the wild. Also, Mr Intrepid tried to protect his sisters, a true Warrior. Then, as soon as we were finished, we let the Mother join her kids. It’s not a nice feeling because I felt like their jailor instead of their Protector, but it is my Sacred duty to go through moments like this one. It’s not all fun and games. The problem is that La Chispa is sooo protective of her kids that she doesn’t allow us to feed them through the fence, we could hide the medicine there. But well. It all went incredibly great and the four are together again :) By the way, those 3 are complete savages...
