Mode makeup was created by mr. shu uemura in 1968 to free the “making of the face” from any inhibitions, and to develop makeup in a more imaginative way to extend the art. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of mode makeup, shu uemura atelier artists created their own artwork taking inspiration from mr. shu uemura's legendary mode makeup looks.✨? This creation is by international atelier artist, Fion @fion_yu. She incorporates the iconic "Flaggy" mode makeup look which suggests the movement of a checkered flag created by mr. shu uemura and adds a bright color scheme to create a celebratory mood.
