Dear friends, I've been struggling with this for awhile and want your input. ??
Many vet techs are writing me and sending me notes about what they see in regards to declawing at the vet clinics where they work.
They are also sending me graphic photos of what they see behind the scenes. ??
When cat owners drop their cats off to have their toe bones and claws amputated, they pick their cats up a day or two later and have no idea about the horror that goes on.
My feeling is that the public needs to see the awful truth about what is happening to their beloved kitties. They need to see why their cat's lives are being forever changed for the worse from going through this mutilating and unimaginable barbaric procedure. Why their cat's personalities change after having this inhumane procedure done to them. ??
So, for now I'm going to start posting these notes and photos on my City the Kitty Advocate for Animals page. I will post a notice on instagram and this page that I posted one of the notes.
The photos are bloody and very graphic. But they show the horrific truth about what is being done to millions of cats each year by unethical and inhumane declawing vets.
It needs to end and if we keep shining light on the truth then it will end.
These vet techs are brave heroes for trying to help end this inhumane procedure. It is sad that these compassionate veterinary professionals have to work for such unethical and uncaring declawing vets. These vet techs know right from wrong.
