So last night while we watched the beautiful red sun go into the ocean we found a hurt seagull. When we walked up to him he spread his wings and tried to fly and one wing was completely broken off. I sobbed as this poor thing struggled. Another couple walked by and we started calling people to help. We couldn’t believe no one was answering us an many others just kept walking. We waited with the bird for 2 hrs into the cold night to let him know he was not alone and keep him from drowning from the tide coming in to grab him. Finally a wild life rescue came as we got him in a box and he was taken away. My reason for sharing this is take a moment from your life and be there for another soul suffering, to help or just as a witness. My heart hurt that so many walked by and so many couldn’t care less but grateful for the people that still DO care enough to be there to help. They are out there, reach out. So today I’m going to the best therapist there is -Mother Nature! I’m out getting my feet in the sand, looking at the blue sky, feeling the warm sun on my face and turning off the manufactured happiness-(phone tv bullshit). Take time today to to be outside and just BREATH. GONE FISHING- literally !!!! #ItsTheSimpleThings. #simplify #simple #life #mothernature @jespervesterstroem
