Mystic Portal ~ While recently in China, I often asked, “What are we doing here?” Such an evening occurred on our second day in Shanghai. The wonderful Lingyi Chen (aka, @pasturewalker ) had recommended us to visit a painting class in a coffeehouse on the fourth floor of a nondescript building. Within minutes of arriving, I couldn’t figure out why we were here. It wasn’t Lingyi’s fault (she’s the best!) nor anyone else’s. It was me, always, who so easily becomes distracted, wandering off. In this instance towards the Mystic Portal, awakening...as happened later, in predestined reality - to why I was here.
