The Tropical Forest Conservation Act (TFCA) is an important tool to help combat it. TFCA agreements have saved more than 67 million acres of forest in Botswana, Brazil, the Philippines, Indonesia, and many other countries. Bipartisan legislation has been introduced that would ensure this program continues, and even expands to protect more areas.
