昨日のCandle Night in Fukushima に参加する事が出来てとても素敵な体験をさせて頂きました。 震災後の8年後の福島はどうなってるかもっと知るにはやっぱり行ってそこのローカルの人の話を聞く事が一番だなと改めて行って感じました。これからも復活は大変だと思いますが、福島で頑張っている皆さんをずっと応援したいと思います！❤️?毎月11日に行っている @CANDLE JUNE さんと @lovefornippon のスタッフの皆さんの行動力にも感動！ 皆さんも応援して、福島にも行って見てください！ ????? I had the honor of joining the #lovefornippon team in Fukushima in one of the closest towns to the Power plant that hasn’t been evacuated. They shared how hard it was for them when the tragedy of the tsunami wiping out their town was overshadowed by the nuclear accident. To this day they experience prejudice because of the name of their state and they can’t sell their produce (even if they live in a safer area and the strict screening has shown it’s safe) because of the name of their prefecture. Many people have left but some have felt no choice but to stay to pay off mortgages or the elderly who feel they have no where else they can call home. #candlejune has been holding #candlenights in Fukushima on the 11th of every month to encourage and connect people. Last night was so special to me and I am so so honored I got to meet you and hear your stories and dance and play with your children. Your resilience is an inspiration to me and we will keep coming back for sure!! ❤️
