I was so exhausted flying home last week after a week away with my family. My daughter was sitting next to me and within minutes of the flight taking off, she was snoozing on my lap. We had just been stuck on the tarmac for 2 hours waiting out this crazy lightening and thunder storm and we were pretty certain we were gonna miss our connecting flight home.
We were stressed but once we finally took off and were up above the clouds, I looked out the window and this is what I saw. I was blown away by the breathtaking beauty of the way the light breaks through after a storm. It reminded me of the brilliant light I’ve seen in my life on the other side of darkness... that no matter how terrifying the storm- no matter how dark the sky - no matter how endless the tempest seems in the moment, the light that breaks through on the other side might just be the most glorious, most beautiful gift I could ever receive if I have the patience and the courage to wait for it.
