“Los Angeles Fur Ban Petition - Sign and Share.”

This is a petition urging city council members to support the Los Angeles City Fur Ban, showing them that Los Angeles is ready to go Fur Free. We need to get 100,000 signatures, which will be presented on the day of voting. While anyone can sign the petition, we definitely need support from those who reside within the county.

Los Angeles is the second largest city in the United States, and this fur ban will go on to affect the entire nation. As more and more cities go Fur Free, designers will be pushed to make the compassionate choice.

We have already received push back from one group, citing that the foxes used for fur live great lives, before they are killed and skinned. These animals are born in cages, and spend their entire existence never knowing freedom. They die from some of the cruelest methods, just so people can wear their skin.

Fox, mink and raccoons are not eaten or used for meat. They are raised solely for their fur, and regardless of what people say - there is no compassionate or humane way to skin an animal.
