When I was in 7th grade there was a competition in orchestra where whoever went to the most concerts won $100. Did you hear me, $100!!! I wanted to win so badly so Dad circled every free concert in the newspaper for months and on top of his work schedule, church duties, ect, he drove me all across town multiple times a week to attend. Some of these were awesome and some of them were the worst community concerts I’ve ever been to but this was just one of the many bonding moments that made me feel “seen” by my dad. He somehow made time to make everyone to feel important. He is a huge part of the reason that I’ve always felt like I can do anything. ...and we won the $100
