Mum guilt is strong today. We are going to Nice without Darcy this week because I don't feel right taking her out of school or taking her Daddy-Days for just a little mini-break. I know she's ok and will enjoy an extra 2 nights at her Dad's (we share 50:50 custody) but I dunno, I feel like I'm horrible for having a nice time without her. To soften the blow (to my own heart more than hers!), I've put some treats on her bed and we're going to have a little breakfast date in the morning. Motherhood is wonderful and rewarding and joyful but my god, sometimes it is so savage and a total mind fudge. (Note my pg language there!!) #MumLife ?
