When I was 6, I lost my parents in a mall for 25 minutes. I was traumatized, scared, inconsolable and desperate. That was twenty-five minutes of not knowing where my parents were. Now imagine being ripped from your parent’s arms and put in a confined space that looks like a cage and not told when or if you will ever see your parents ever again. I’m not asking any of you to put aside political differences. I’m simply asking you to be a human being.
