I want to talk to y’all about the before picture here. Yes, I was in complete bliss with Batel (and still am) but I found myself pouring every bit of me into her. I want her to want for absolutely nothing. Well, having a mom that secretly felt ashamed of her lack of motivation isn’t fair to her OR me. I was 173 lbs. I stopped looking in the mirror. I FaceTuned pics because I felt like people would shame me. I’m guilty. But I found my strength (like I always do) and I fought back against those demons in my head. I started taking care of myself... I’m back... not just physically, but mentally. And THAT is all we can ask for as mamas. Mental health.
