Think about when you feel most comfortable. Most at home and at ease in the world. For many of us, that’s in the outdoors. A lot of us came to this love on our own, others grew up with parents who took us outside. Now, many of us have kids of our own and we want to share the love. Why? So many reasons. It’s better for growing bodies and brains to play in forests and streams than to play video games. The natural world is a great teacher that delivers immediate feedback. We develop confidence in the outdoors. We get exercise and grow stronger. Our imaginations can run wild outside.

BUT if you’re following us, you already know this. Still. What sounds good in theory (get kids outside!) can be tough in reality. .
