These jackets are mid-way through tailoring at our Portugal workroom. The chaotic white stitches are called basting stitches - they're quick, loose, easy to remove stitches that temporarily hold the multiple layers of material in position, until the jacket is finished, to ensure nothing shifts out of alignment during the construction process.
