Something strange has happened. When I put up all my hats, t-shirts, and tote bags for sale, the sales started dropping and have now stopped. Literally, no orders now. So I'm wondering if you have any ideas as to why that happened. As most of you know, my mom made the choice to drop her photography career 4 years ago, to work on this cause full-time. The suffering and cruelty that we saw from vets doing this barbaric & inhumane procedure to cats was just shocking and we knew we needed to do as much as we could to help end it. ? She's been using her savings to continue working on the cause and even using it for some cause related campaigns. Most famous cats with this many followers are making great money from endorsements from companies. When we took up this important cause, all the business offers pretty much stopped coming in. We were collaborating with Friskies to help feel shelter cats but that ended shortly after we took up the cause. That collaboration was helping us continue working on the cause and we even asked Purina/ Friskies if they would want to help us with educational campaigns about the humane alternatives and how declawing is always harmful to the health and well-being of a cat. Purina declined the offer to be heroes and help save cats from this cruelty. ?Their catchow.com has so many educational info about cats and their health needs but NOTHING about how declawing is inhumane and harmful to cats. ?? As you know, @purina makes millions of dollars each year from declawing. Yep. The majority of declawing vets recommend, sell, or use Purina's Yesterdays News for their cats that they just amputated their toe bones. My new Paws Unite shirts, hats, and totes are a great way to get out the awareness for our cause. People are telling me that they are being stopped when they are out and about with them on and asked about the cause. Some folks didn't even know that declawing was amputating the toe bone and claws on a cat's paws!
