Please don’t mind my lab sample lip liner that I am evaluating ..
as we get older our plumper lips become more diffused and less defined and it becomes more of a comfort to shape your lips .
Again I’m not using a mirror or my glasses , For my personal use I like a “lip” color - ie a deeper version of our own lips for a liner , I start on the bottom and fill in the natural lip line, being slightly more generous.
a matter texture is nice so you can shape your lips and have a bit more of a longer lasting “stain”.
I gently ad color to the middle of bottom lip, shape top lip and as some color, putting lips together deposits nicely and more evenly and shape becomes more what it would be.
Then I dab on a brighter color to middle of top and bottom lips to make your lips a bit more “ juicy “ as Simon Le Bob taught me 20 yrs ago !!
I then press lips against back of hand to press in color so it looks more authentic and less like lipstick, it strangely helps balance the redness from my rosacea which is nice .
