Our Treasured Portraits from the Collection of Ernst Holzscheiter auction presents 88 portrait miniatures, considered to be the treasures of his collection.

Holzscheiter caught the collecting bug when he was a young boy; his mother would sew up his trouser pockets to prevent him from bringing all sorts of objects home. In 1918, he bought his first portrait miniature and went on to form a collection of over 700 pieces.
