This has become a normal routine of late. Pick up Nico from nursery, change into whatever evening get-up, make/do supper with her (and risk staining the outfit). I can often be seen through my kitchen window applying eyeliner whilst waiting for her veggies to finish steaming. Or fiddling with shoe straps whilst Nico exclaims “shoe shoe shoe!” (her new word)
Then comes the babysitter handover thanks to @bubblebabysittingapp and their user-rated and verified sitters. I’ve successfully found three that live locally, which I rotate between, and who all happen to be effective baby sleep whisperers. This isn’t a paid plug but a genuine 👌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻 to a start up that has enabled @steve_salter and I to do fash stuff in the evenings
Childcare is something I (along with every working mum) have had to grapple with since giving birth and I’ll admit I haven’t got IT fully down given my erratic schedule and frequent travel but @bubblebabysittingapp has truly freed up evenings when effectively Nico is down for the night and you’re on home lockdown
So off I went into the night last week for the #SerpentineSummerParty - with bits of rice caught in the @シャネル skirt of course
