A “Toys R Us kid” plays in an empty isle of a closing store in Houston. The toy retailer is shuttering all of its remaining locations across the U.S. on Friday, marking the end of a chain known to generations of children and parents for its sprawling stores, brightly colored logo and beloved mascot, Geoffrey the giraffe.
